V2Lab Mystery Meat & Adobe CS6

I’d heard the name V2Lab thrown around, and seen pics from some of their events before, so when someone brought up that they were having a meet in the middle of Orlando, I had to check it out.  Let’s just say that what I saw in pics and what I saw in real life were incomparable.

The sheer volume of cars attending was innumerable.  The main strip of North Orange Ave. was completely lined with modded cars.  And the adjacent streets.  And every single parking lot in between.  I’ve never seen a meet this big, and I’ve never seen one done in the middle of a major city.  Having it on Easter Sunday definitely helped, with many businesses closed and lots of people observing the holiday, so there were tons of places to park.  Well, maybe at around 8am.  The meet officially started at 10:30am, though people were there hours before to get good spots.  I arrived at around 11, did a few laps around the city trying to find a spot, and finally got lucky with a spot in an abandoned bank building’s lot, near the center of the event.

Adobe recently released a beta version of Photoshop CS6, which is a much bigger step up than CS5 was.  Especially their RAW image editor, Adobe Camera Raw) had a major revamp, allowing me to pull out sooo much more detail, keep the brights bright while maintain more detail than ever in shadows, with half as much work as I usually need to do.   Adobe Creative Suite CS6 will be launched tomorrow, 4/23/12.  More info here:

This is my first set using Photoshop CS6, so enjoy! :)

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for V2Lab’s future meets.  You don’t find a collection (or quantity) of cars this amazing every day!
